Mercure Penang Beach

As of January 1, 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applicable to all foreign visitors. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid at check-in. Guests presenting a valid Malaysian Identity Card or a valid permanent resident MY PR Card will be exempt from this fee. Additionally, starting from July 1, 2022, a Local Government Fee of MYR 3 per room per night will be charged by the City Council of Penang. This fee is not part of the room rate and must be settled at check-in at Mercure Penang Beach.

Please be aware that this property does not accept payments via third-party cards. When checking in or settling payment at the hotel, guests must present the same credit card used to secure their booking. If you intend to use a credit card belonging to someone else, please ensure you provide the following to the hotel before your arrival: 1) An authorization letter signed by the cardholder 2) A copy of the cardholder’s card (both front and back, along with their signature). Please note that the hotel may verify this information with the cardholder for security purposes. For safety reasons, credit cards used for non-refundable reservations must also be presented during check-in.

Upon arrival, guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card. Special Requests are subject to availability, and additional fees may apply.

To facilitate a smooth check-in process, please notify Mercure Penang Beach in advance of your estimated arrival time. You can do this through the Special Requests box during booking or by contacting the property directly using the information provided in your confirmation.

A damage deposit of MYR 300 will be required at check-in. This amount must be paid in cash and is refundable upon check-out, provided the property passes inspection.
