Comprehensive payment for all reservations will be processed at the time of booking. All major credit and debit cards are accepted, with the exception of American Express.
Every booking will incur a temporary membership fee per individual per night. (Current members of Hostelling Scotland and HI utilizing these channels are not eligible for a membership refund).
Individual reservations (up to 9 guests) – can be canceled without charge until 3 days prior to the arrival date. If canceled within 3 days of arrival, 100% of the total price will be billed.
Group reservations (more than 9 guests) – will be subject to different policies and additional fees. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 to 4 weeks (56-29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 to 0 weeks (28-0 days) 100% of total cost.
No stag or hen parties are allowed at any youth hostel.
Dogs are permitted at Glencoe, for a nominal fee, when reserving a private room. Please inform us in advance to confirm that a dog-friendly room is available.
In cases where guests qualify for a refund or partial refund, please be aware that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. The refund may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of the cancellation request to be credited back to the original card used.
For young individuals aged 12 to 15 years, a parent or guardian of the same gender must accompany them when booking a bed in shared accommodations (please note that due to high demand at this location, shared accommodations may be unisex).
Hostelling Scotland recommends providing additional notice to the destination youth hostel when traveling with children, to ensure that appropriate accommodations are available. There is no provision for extra beds or cots.
Check-in is available from 16:00 until 21:30, and check-out is from 07:30 until 10:00. The hostel is closed during the day from 10:00 to 16:00, but access may be arranged—please contact the hostel in advance.
Guests must present a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
