Mashuko Youth Hostel

Nestled amidst the mountains, lakes, and vast wilderness of Hokkaido, Mashuko Youth Hostel provides straightforward accommodation with complimentary WiFi. The serene Lake Mashu is just a 16-minute drive from the hostel.

The rooms feature carpeting and come with heating facilities. All accommodations are simply adorned and are entirely non-smoking. Guests will find bathrooms and toilets shared with fellow visitors.

Those staying at our hostel have access to a coin-operated laundry (fees apply), a sink, and complimentary drinking water, coffee, tea, and green tea. Additional amenities at the property include a communal lounge and luggage storage. Guests can also purchase items like laundry detergent, toothbrushes, and razors at the front desk.

Currently, our hostel does not offer meals; therefore, we recommend dining at a nearby restaurant or picking up provisions from a local supermarket or convenience store to bring back to the hostel. Furthermore, simple self-catering options are available, including a microwave, toaster, rice cooker, cutting board, kitchen knife, gas stove, and frying pan.

Lake Kussharo is located a 30-minute drive away, while Lake Akan can be reached in 60 minutes. Kushiro Shitsugen National Park is also accessible within a 60-minute drive. The closest airport, Nakashibetsu Airport, is about a 1-hour and 15-minute drive from the hostel.
