Maji Moto Eco Camp

Maji Moto Eco Camp is situated at the base of the captivating and lesser-known Loita Hills. Tucked away from the usual tourist paths, this destination offers an authentic experience of Maasai culture and the expansive African plains on foot. It is an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts, promising a delightful adventure for both adults and children. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a variety of guided activities throughout the day, including nature walks, warrior training, visits to local schools, wildlife tracking, excursions to Maasai homesteads (Manyatta), beading, fire-making, and stories around the campfire.

The tents are equipped with mattresses, pillows, and bedding, and provide access to shared outdoor showers and toilets in traditional Maasai style. There is no electricity available; illumination is provided by candles, lanterns, campfires, and solar lights.

Every day, fresh supplies are brought in from the local market in the nearest town. Meals are thoughtfully prepared by the camp’s cook, combining traditional Kenyan flavors with international cuisine in a simple yet delicious manner.

Maji Moto Eco Camp is a one-hour drive from the Sekenani Gate of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, with the option for full-day game viewing available upon request. Nairobi is located four hours away by car.
