Dating back to 1438, the historic Cathedral Gate is situated in the center of Canterbury. Once a resting spot for pilgrims, this hotel predates the nearby gateway to Canterbury Cathedral and showcases wooden beams and gently sloping floors.

Kindly be aware that the cathedral is currently undergoing refurbishment work at the rear of the hotel. Construction activities may take place from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday through Friday.

It’s important to note that due to the building’s layout, there are numerous stairs and no elevator available.

The hotel boasts a central position in the pedestrian-only city center; however, guests are permitted to drive up to the hotel entrance for unloading before parking their vehicles.

Parking vouchers for the public car park are priced at GBP 12 for 24 hours. Beginning 1st April 2024, the cost of these parking vouchers will increase to GBP 13 for a 24-hour period.

Baby cots are available on request; however, their availability is not guaranteed until confirmed by the hotel.
